Lufthansa Pilots Walks Out: Begins Four Days Strike

The pilots' Union of Lufthansa began a four day strike on moday after a last ditch effort at negotiations protracted contract pay and job security failed. The four day work stoppage by the pilots' union of one of the world's largest airlines threatened to disrupt travel on more than two dozen partner airlines later on monday.
Over 4,000 pilots walk off their job at midnight sunday after weekend negotiations failed.
The action of Lufthansa pilots signalled growing labour unrest in Europe.
The Industrial action by the pilots started the same day British airway Cabin staff were expected to announce its strike vote outcome.
